Olympic Style!–Part 2, Day 1

Day 1 started today, it was filled with many royals, ones I never thought would come. They did though!

Swimming

Well, today American swimmer Ryan Lochte took home gold for USA in the 400m Individual Medley. Michael Phelps (The big 2008 Olympic Winner) failed to make it on the podium! Second went to Brazil’s Thiago Pereira and third went to Japan’s Kosuke Hagino. The Australian woman’s 4 x 100m freestyle won gold and set a new world record of 3:33.15. China’s Shiwen Ye made a new world record in 400m by clocking in at 4:28.43. China’s Yang Sun won the 400 and setting a new Olympic Record of 3:40.14.

Back to the Fashion!

image

All of Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima’s Family was in attendance and in matching Orange. Except, Maxima wearing brown, too cool for Orange I see…

image

Too cute on both sides, I just couldn’t resist. This reminds me of the P&G Mom and Dad’s commercials…awe… :)

image

Queen Margrethe, Crown Prince Frederik, and Crown Princess Mary all in attendance in Swimming. Mary was probably happy with the result of the Australian team.

image

Lookie who’s behind the Danish Royal Family, the Luxembourgish Royal Family. Small World, eh? Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa (not pictured), Prince Guillaume, Princess Tessy, Prince Louis, Prince Felix (not pictured), and Princess Alexandra (not pictured) were in attendance.

image

Crazy Family Moments, doesn’t Felix look like he has the time of his life? He was probably on the big screen :D

image

Another too cute, to pass picture. I say, when Alexandra marries, Henri will be extremely sad. They are such a great family, I love them!

image

Queen Anne-Marie, King Constantine II, and their son, the handsome, dashing, and (possibly) single, Prince Philippos.

image

Facial Expression Meanings, Frederik – confused. Maria Teresa – happy. Mary – sad. Mette-Marit – not too sure.

image

A cute collage of Mette-Marit and Prince Haakon watching the swimming. They are such a cute couple!

Haakon and Mette-Marit exchanging some conversation with Prince Guillaume. About what though… possibly his engagement, P.S. Guillaume and his fiancée, Stephanie de Lannoy will wed on October 19, civically and 20, religiously.

The Queen also joined in on the fun of swimming, making an appearance with her hubby, Prince Philip.
