New About the British Royal Family

Zara (Phillips) Tindall is Pregnant!

As I've announced before, the Duchess of Cambridge (due any day now) and Lady Frederick Windsor (due in August) are expecting. This time, Zara Tindall, the eldest granddaughter of the Queen is expecting her first child with her husband, Mike Tindall. Here's the official announcement:
"Mr and Mrs Mike Tindall are very pleased to announce that Zara Tindall is expecting a baby in the New Year.
The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, and members of both families are delighted with the news.
This baby will be the first child for Mike and Zara and the third grandchild for The Princess Royal."
THE PRESS SECRETARY TO THE QUEEN

Mr. and Mrs. Tindall were at the Wimbledon Final yesterday to watch the final between Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic. Andy Murray won the match, making him the first British man to win the cup for the first time in 77 years!

Mike Tindall posted on Twitter today, thanking everyone:
"Thanks for all the kind messages, we are very excited and I agree with you all that hopefully he/she won't have my nose ;) #Glawsfamily"

Royalty 101: Abdications

Since we have had two Abdications in one year, I'll go over some of the rules about Abdications.

Abdications are more common in some countries than others. For example, most monarchs of the Netherlands abdicate. While, most monarchs in Great Britain reign until the pass away. It all depends on the country and the situation.

For King Albert II, he decided to abdicate because he turned 80 last month and he questions how well his health is. Most of the time, the cause is because of age.

Also, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani has abdicated in favor of his son the Crown Prince, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.

It's not certain how many more Abdications will be this year (or how soon any other ones will happen). We'll just have to find out.

These aren't the only Royal guests, if you want to see all of them and what they wore. Check this link. These aren't in alphabetical order.

Queen Beatrix Hosts Her Last Dinner

Today is the last full day that Queen Beatrix will be queen of the Netherlands. She had 23 good years as Queen. Today, she hosted her last dinner as Queen.
Dutch Ladies
Queen Beatrix wore a purple dress with a purple jacket to match. She wore the Wurttemberg Ornate Pearl Tiara, with a pearl corsage with it. Princess Maxima wore a repeat red Valentino dress, along with the Rose Cut Diamond Bandeau Tiara and a diamond necklace with a giant pendant. Princess Laurentien wore a fitting turquoise dress, she wore a new tiara to her, the Aquamarine Parure Tiara. She also wore a bow brooch with an aquamarine pendant.
Princess Mable wore a repeat red dress, with the Diamond Fishnet Necklace, and the Sapphire Parure Tiara, in the diamond setting. Princess Margriet wore the Pearl Button Tiara with the pearls. She wore a rose printed dress and a brown/gray shawl over top of it. Princess Christina made an appearance! She wore a light brown dress with the Laurel Wreath Tiara.
Princess Christina wore the Antique Pearl Tiara, with a black lace jacket and black and white checkered skirt.

Crown Princesses
Crown Princess Mary of Denmark wore a new dress! And I'm loving it! She wore her wedding tiara and earrings. Princess Mathilde, Duchess of Brabant (Belgium) wore a one sleeved white dress, she wore her Laurel Wreath Tiara, she even got blond streaks... Very spiffy. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, believe of not is wearing a tiara. The tiny Diamond Daisy Tiara that she positioned in the middle of her head. I do love her dress though, Valentino I'm guessing.
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden wore a repeat purple dress. She wore the Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara. Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg wore a blue Elie Saab dress with Grand Duchess Marie-Adélaïde's Sapphire Tiara. Crown Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein wore a shiny brown skirt, with a white lace top. She wore the Habsburg Fringe Tiara.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall (Great Britain) wore the Boucheron Honeycomb Tiara. She wore a white top and black skirt combination... Not a fan. Letizia wore a black dress with black lace sleeves and neckline. Letizia wore the Mellerio Floral Tiara.

Is it a bit scary that I got 6/7 Tiara guessed right for the Crown Princesses?

Dutch Inauguration: Tiara Talk

The Dutch Inauguration is less than a week away! This will be an emotional week, yet exciting moment for the Dutch Royal Family. Let's stop thinking about the negative and start thinking about the positive: There will be Tiaras! If anyone is in the Royal Fandom with me, you'd know that you're a sucker for tiaras! Here's some tiara choices I would love to see at the Royal Inauguration.

Let's start in Belgium, shall we?
Laurel Wreath Tiara, Queen Fabiola's Spanish Wedding Gift Tiara
Princess Mathilde, Duchess of Brabant and her husband, Prince Philippe, Duke of Brabant will be attending on behalf of the Belgian Royal Family. I'm sure that Mathilde will wear her Laurel Wreath Tiara. But I would love it if Mathilde brought out another tiara; specifically Queen Fabiola's Spanish Wedding Gift Tiara.

Queen Ingrid's Ruby Parure, Baden Palmette Tiara, Crown Princess Mary's Wedding Tiara
From Denmark, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will represent the Danish Royal Family. Mary usually only wears two tiaras, her wedding tiara and Queen Ingrid's Ruby Parure. But, I hope that she pulls a different tiara out. My favourite Danish tiara: The Baden Palmette Tiara. But, if she goes for the tiaras she wears often, I'm fine with that.

Masako's Wedding Tiara
For Japan, Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako will represent the Japanese Imperial Family. I truly don't care if Masako doesn't wear a tiara or if she wear a tiara she has worn before. This will be her first major event for a long time! Masako hasn't been by her husband's side a whole lot. This article will explain why.

Grand Duchess Adelaide's Sapphire Tiara; Nassau Small Diamond Floral Tiara
Now, Luxembourg. The Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg will represent the Luxembourgish Royal Family. My hope for the inauguration, Stephanie comes out with either Grand Duchess Adelaide's Sapphire Tiara because I wanted Stephanie to wear that at her wedding. Or, the Nassau Small Diamond Floral Tiara because she looks good in floral tiaras.

Amethyst Necklace Tiara
For Norway, the Crown Prince and Princess of Norway with represent the Norwegian Royal Family. There's only one tiara I want to see Mette-Marit in. The Amethyst Necklace Tiara. I love Amethysts and it always looks great on Mette-Marit.

Prussian Diamond Tiara (top left); Mellerio Floral Tiara (top right); Fleur De Lys Tiara (Bottom)
Letizia has been seen in 3 tiaras, out of those three, I only like two. The Prussian Diamond Tiara and the Mellerio Floral Tiara. Letizia also has another tiara the, Fleur De Lys Tiara. It hasn't been seen, but the Fleur De Lys has. Letizia is in face wearing the brooch in the first picture. Letizia hasn't worn it due to the economy in Spain.

Baden Fringe Tiara; Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara; Connaught Diamond Tiara
Victoria has been seen in a bunch, I'm not kidding... She's been seen in 9 tiaras. That's maybe about half of the Swedish Tiara Collection... They love their tiaras. Anyways, I want to see Victoria in the Baden Fringe Tiara (everyone's choice probably), Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara, or a tiara that Victoria hasn't worn. The Connaught Diamond Tiara.

I want Camilla to bring the big ol' Boucheron Honeycomb Tiara. That's all I want.

Fashion Awards: Cheltenham Festival

 Best in Coats
Zara Phillips
Zara like last year impressed me with her coats! The red one worn on the second day was my favourite.
Best in Hats
Zara Phillips
Zara again, sweeps my favourite category... again. It's like she plans for the Cheltenham Festival all year!
Best in Normal
Princess Anne
Anne usually comes with her normal style. She's a royal that doesn't care about what people think about her style. She just wants her duties to be done. I admire her for that.

Best in Suprise!
Autumn Phillips and Duchess of Cambridge
Autumn Phillips made an un-expected visit to the festival this year! Her hat looking very... interesting. Kind of like Zara's hat from the Diamond Jubilee last year... Catherine showed up wearing her Lock & Co hat... again. She brought it out of the closet a few weeks ago.
