Royals Love: Belts

I've noticed looking through royal maternity wear, that many royal women love belts. So, here are some Crown Princesses wearing belts (note, there's not a lot of pictures):
Everyone knows that Catherine loves her belts! Last year, she wore 27 belts on 88 engagements (there could be more though). There's only 88 that I know of. Her belts are fashionable though, she must have a least 100 different belts... I want to see them all.
Letizia doesn't usually wear belts as often as most princesses or royals. She wears them ocassionally, and when she does wear them. Man! They look good on her!
Mary is a royal who usually wears belts but sometimes doesn't. Her belts are nice, I like them, I swear I have that belt in the middle... Awesome! I don't really have a lot to say...
Maxima is known to wear tiny belts, normally around the size of an inch or two, or something like that.
Victoria hardly wears belts, that's why when I came across Victoria, I had to look on Google. Her belts are nice looking though. Then again, how can a belt not be ugly?

Royals Love: Elie Saab

Elie Saab is an incredible fashion brand, created by a Lebanese designer. It's praised by many people around the world (including me) for the embroidery, designs, and cut of the dresses. Elie is an impedible designer, and his work is loved by many royals:
On October 20th of 2012, Elie created the wedding dress of Stephanie, Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg (formerly, Countess Stephanie de Lannoy). The wedding guests wore a lot of amounts of Elie Saab (probably due to the fact that the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg is a big fan).

Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden is a very big Elie Saab fan, she wore a dress by Elie (above) to her pre-wedding concert on June 18, 2010. Victoria wore Elie Saab to other important events, the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Monaco, the Nobel Prize Awards last year and in 2010, her daugther's christening in May of last year.

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg is a big fan, like Victoria. She's worn Saab at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the wedding of her son, Guillaume (above, Civic service), a visit to Germany, and to the Nobel Prize awards in 2011 (same dress, different occasion).

After the royal wedding in Luxembourg, the Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor showed different royals who wore Elie Saab and it looks awesome!

2012 Outfit Reviews: Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

I have no idea what happened, I thought that I posted Crown Princess Victoria for Outfit Reviews... I guess not. Anyways, this will be the last outfits review. I'll start posting other things tomorrow, and so fourth.
Best of 2012
With Victoria, I say it's hard to chose a favourite outfit. But, in the end, I had to, so I went with this purple number. She looks fabulous! Purple suits her, and I want to see this dress agian in the New Year.
Runners-Up
Victoria had some outfits that really floated my boat (:3). Anyways, the green number looks awesome (I should find a better word than, 'Awesome'). The next outfit looks rather nice on VIctoria. After that, the black lace number would be my runner-runner-up outfit (meaning my 2nd favourite outfit), and the last one is an Elie Saab (I think) number, at Swedish Fashion Week (I believe). The alst, is a repeat Elie Saab (that's a fact!) from the 2010 Nobel Prize Awards. I don't even mind the Six Diamond Button tiara.
 Worst of 2012
The last outfit is by Malene Birger, it's not a favourite, I know it's maternity wear, and it's not easy to look fasionable while being comfortable. Sometimes it works. Others, it looks like this.

Best of 2012 - Accessories: Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

Jewelry

Earrings

I would have added more earrings onto this list, but I couldn't find anymore. The earrings I love the most are the ones on the left, they were used for portraits of Princess Estelle.

Necklaces

I really like Victoria's necklaces there is one necklace that I love but I couldn't find it. I love the necklace on the left because I love pearls and silver.

Hair

This year, I love Victoria's hair because they look really cool (like the one on the left, it looks braided and it's in a bun!) Her hair is awesome :) Can't wait until the Nobel prizes on December 10 and 11, awesome hair and outfits are going to come!

Hats

I only like two of Victoria's hats. I love the one on the right because I really like that picture of her and Estelle (also, the earrings are the same earrings noted above.)

Best of 2012 - Favourite Royals: Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden has been married to her husband, Daniel Wrestling since June of 2010. Last year, she announced that she was pregnant with her first child. In February of this year, she gave birth to a baby girl, Princess Estelle. When her and her daughter take the throne, they will be the 4th and 5th queen regents of Sweden. Victoria has the perfect outcomes to a future queen, she carries out tons of engagements, a royal wedding this year, and many more things. She has a baby at home, but works to be a future queen. Well done!

Princess Madeleine: Wedding Tiara Guesses

The engagement was announced not that long ago, it doesn't hurt anyone to show tiara options, though. Madeleine has worn a fair amount of tiaras (like any other Swedish Princess). Her engagement ring is rather lovely as well, so I wonder what tiara she'll chose. The wedding is to be in the summer of 2013 in Sweden. Update: The wedding will take place on June 8, 2013.
Princess Madeleine's engagement ring

Diamond Bandeau Tiara

The Diamond Bandeau Tiara, Madeleine and her older sister, Victoria (above) have both worn this tiara. This is a choice that will probably not be likely for Madeleine. It's a very simple piece, I won't be surprised if she will wear it as a necklace.

Bragança (Brazilian) Tiara

Bragança (Brazilian) Tiara was created in the 18th century in France. It once belonged to Empress Amelie of Brazil. The tiara is a large piece, and I like it very much. Madeleine has never worn it, I'm sure that it won't be used for her wedding. If she does, I will be very happy. Queen Silvia wears this tiara often (not all the time), and I'll be happy if Madeleine wears this.

Aquamarine Bandeau Tiara

The Aquamarine Bandeau Tiara was a 18th birthday present from her parents. It was made long ago, Queen Louise of Sweden used to wear that, and she lived from 1851-1926, so it's a very old piece.

Connaught Diamond Tiara

This tiara was acquired by Crown Princess Margaret, born as a princess of Connaught, on her wedding day in 1905.  The tiara was given to Margaret by her parents, Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Princess Luise Margarete of Prussia. Madeleine's aunt, Princess Christina, wore the tiara on her wedding day. Madeleine wore it to her sister, Crown Princess Victoria's wedding in 2010. It looks very nice on Madeleine, so it's probably in favour for the tiara on her wedding.

Diamond Four Button Tiara

The first diamond button tiara of the Swedish collection. The tiara is normally worn by Madeleine and Victoria. This diamond buttons used on this tiara were reportedly used on the crown at the coronation of King Carl XIV Johan in 1818. I'm not very fond of this tiara, same with the one below, but it isn't my choice. Whatever Madeleine choses, I'm fine with.

Diamond Six Button Tiara

The second diamond button tiara of the Swedish collection. The tiara is normally worn by Victoria. This diamond buttons used on this tiara were reportedly used on the crown at the coronation of King Carl XIV Johan in 1818. In recent years, there has been an alteration of having three rows of diamonds on its base. Again, I'm not fond of this tiara, it's not my choice, and I have no say in it.

Modern (Carl XVI Gustaf) Fringe Tiara

The Modern Fringe (Carl Gustaf XVI) Fringe Tiara is a newer piece in the Swedish collection. The diamond tiara was given to Queen Silvia by King Carl XVI Gustaf (hence the name) in 1986 to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. The tiara can also be worn as a necklace (see the Diamond Four Button tiara, the necklace is this tiara). I like this piece, and it looks good on Madeleine, but I'm putting my money on the tiara below:

Cameo Tiara

The antique gold and pearl tiara, was likely a gift from Nepoleon to Joséphine in 1809. She gave the tiara to her granddaughter, Queen Josephine of Sweden. The large cameos, show scenes from Greek mythology, weren't originally made for the tiara. The piece has become something of an unofficial wedding tiara for the Swedish royal women. Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, and two of the king's sisters, Princess Birgitta and Princess Désirée. So, I'm putting my money on it, it's a tradition to wear it!

Update:

Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara

Madeleine wore this tiara at the Nobel Prize awards, 2012. It was the first time she ever wore it. I wouldn't think it would be a wedding tiara. I think that I'll be a tiara choice for Silvia or Victoria to wear.

Opening of Parliament in Sweden

Today was the opening of Parliament in Sweden. And most countries do this, such as the UK, who has it in spring, and Denmark who celebrates it, I’m sure every 2nd of October. No matter! We’ll worry about Sweden right now.

MadeleineSilviaVictoria

I see their going for a black and white colour code. I still like what they wore, although, I do wish Madeleine and Victoria would wear hats in the front of their face. But, nothing like this:

Crown Princess Victoria - Meeting a new Bishop

This made my worst list of 2012. I think everyone agrees with me on this one, though.

Fashion Friday: Diamond Jubilee tour of Scandinavia

This was not the first tour of the Diamond Jubilee. I just like this one better, there was so much style in this tour than other tours. The next tour the couple will take together, will be to my Nation, Canada. Also, they are coming to my Province’s Capital! Regina, Saskatchewan. I am busy, so I will not be able to see them.

Norway

The Royal Couple started their journey in Norway where they meet the Crown Prince, Princess, King and Queen. The Queen and King and the royal couple participated in a wreath laying ceremony. In the evening, they attended a reception, with Mette-Marit, Haakon, Sonja, Martha Louise, Haakon, and Harald. In the afternoon, Charles, Camilla, Sonja and Harald visited Bergen. Sonja and Camilla visited a nature kindergarten. There was a concert and reception at Håkon’s Hall. The royal couple, queen and king took a tour of the Bryggen wharf. And finally, Sonja and Camilla visited Troldhaugen in Bergen.

Norwegian Royal Style

Mette-Marit appeared twice through out the visit, Mette-Marit’s favourite appearance was the evening, well one the hair and the diamond and pearl earrings. Martha Louise, appeared once, wearing a repeat dress. Sonja looked great in this tour, better than she has before.

Sweden

Sweden wasn’t a great hit for Camilla but she does look good. Rocking the plaid! hey couple were greeted by Prince Carl Philip at the Stockholm Airport. The whole Royal Family was in attendance (minus little Estelle). Silvia and Camilla visited a Pre-school in Solna. While, Charles and Carl  XVI Gustaf toured the residential area in Stockholm.

Swedish Royal Style

I say, the Swedish ladies rocked this tour! I want to say, I LOVE Silvia’s suit, I LOVE the little bow in the back! And I adore Victoria coming, and she did not disappoint me. And I was very happy that Princess Madeleine came. I just didn’t like the neckline on her Victoria Beckham dress.

Denmark

Camilla kicked off her tour of Denmark at the airport, being welcomed by the Crown Prince and Princess. On Sunday, the royal couple were in attendance at the Service of the Holy Communion, afterward, the royal couple planted a tree at the Churchill Park. The day started with a visit to Kastellet, with the Crown Prince and Princess. The Royal couple then, went to have a tour of the Old Town and St. Mary’s Church, the then visited Kronborg Palace. The Royal Couple attended a Gala at Christians VIIs Palace. Camilla and Mary visited the film set of, ‘The Killing’. Where they met the cast, played with toy guns and had a great time. Later, the ladies were in Ballerup where they toured the Center for Clinical and Basic Research.

Danish Royal Style

Crown Princess Mary was the best dressed Royal on the tour to Denmark. Princess Marie was a close second (with one outfit) and just after giving birth. And Queen Margrethe was in dead last.

Wedding Wednesday: Crown Princess Victoria’s Wedding Dress

Her Dress

Back in June 19 of 2010, Crown Princess Victoria wed her boyfriend of 8 years, Daniel Westling – who was her Personal Trainer, I have never heard that fairy tail before :). Anyways, back to the thing that is important – the dress. Pär Engsheden made the dress for today. The dress was cream-colored duchess silk satin. The rounded collar was turned down all the way around, ending in a v-shape in the back, where the dress was fastened with buttons covered in silk. A cummerbund-style sash emphasized Victoria's waist, and it looks like the sash was possibly separate from the dress itself. The short sleeves were perfect for keeping modesty in the church.

Accessories

Victoria had many accessories. On her head was the no diamond, Cameo Tiara – Yep, no diamonds! She wore the Cameo earrings and bracelet. And then there is her engagement ring and her wedding band. Her bling shoes, her small but, lovely bouquet. And her heirloom veil, which was worn many times before her.

Top (Back)Back

The Back of the dress was very nice. During the ceremony she wore a petticoat – a train that is attached to your waist instead at the bottom of the dress. She took it off during the dinner.

Train, Front & Portraits

The Train was believe it or not, was 5 meter (16 feet) train. That’s no Lady Diana Spencer or Sarah Ferguson but, it is big for a Swedish Royal Wedding.
