Best of 2012 - Events: Diamond Jubilee

This year, Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain celebrated her Diamond Jubilee (60 years on the throne). It went from June 2-June 5. I apologize for not posting anything from the Jubilee. I was going to after the Jubilee. But, I got bored and I didn't want to do that. Then, it was too later. So, I just forgot. So, here's the Diamond Jubilee:

The Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor, Earl and Countess of Wessex, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Prince and Princess of Kent, Viscount Severn, Prince Harry, the Duke of York, Princess Anne with Timothy Laurence were all in attendance. Eugenie and Beatrice both attended street parties than came onto the boat to celebrate with their family.

Fashion Friday: 2012 Diamond Jubilee Style

We are starting the Diamond Jubilee with the fashions that the royals have worn so far.

We have the Jubilee woman. With outfits from the Armed Forces Parade. The Sovereign's Luncheon. Visiting York for her UK Visit. Paying Tribute to Princess Margaret and the Queen Mum. Commonwealth Day service. Visiting Leicester on her UK Tour.

Visiting Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

Visiting Canada.

Camilla Paying Tribute to Princess Margaret and the Queen Mum, and hosting a Sovereign's Dinner.

Kate visiting Leicester with the Queen and Prince Philip, and at the Sovereign's Luncheon. Anne paying Tribute to Princess Margaret and the Queen Mum. 4 June: The sky will be lit with the Diamond Jubilee Beacons, and the BBC will broadcast a concert from Buckingham Palace

5 June: The Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral and a carriage procession through London

I have to give this award to Elizabeth, with 60 years of good service to England, she has to be awarded this.

Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands

To tell you the truth, I actually like this one. It has an oversized shirt (Not a big fan) and pointy shoes (Yuck!) but, Beatrix looks good in it.

Best in Traditional

Empress Michiko of Japan

I would be hard wearing traditional clothing all the time. And with Japan with their wooden shoes, I would not survive. I have to give Michiko credit!

Worst in Usual

Queen Paola of Belgium

Purple over here, a ruffle over there. It was the normal Paola at the greet. But, they way it looks isn’t terrible.

For a queen being 65 years old, she looks fantastic! I love the dress style and the accessories she wore too.

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg

Maria Teresa looks ok. But it looked better the first time around.

Margrethe chose the usual outfit, a suit in a ugly colour. And with a odd material.

Silvia looks very happy, and why shouldn't she? Her first granddaughter, Estelle is getting christened in 4 days.

Catherine wowed, as usual. And in a very pretty colour!

Sophie looks good, as she always does. But her jacket is un-flattering. And the waist of her dress looks very odd.
